NetGear AirCard 340U stops working after upgrade to Sierra
I have a NetGear AirCard 340U. AirCard is an USB modem that allows Internet connection over Cellular/Mobile Broadband airware. It is an awesome modem, or it was.
Until I upgrade my Macbook Pro to Sierra (10.12), AirCard worked flawlessly.
After the upgrade, not so much.
According to the USB list command (
system_profiler SPUSBDataType),macOS (aka MAC OSX) does properly notice that the device is plugged into the USB port by listing the Sierra Wireless as a manufacturer. The G3 watcher daemon is up and running, and the AirWatch application is running.
But the OS will not act on the USB device and leaves the AirWatch application unable to detect this plugged-in USB device called NetGear AirCard 340U.
I'm a pretty good kernel developer and am willing to help with this.
