A purchase receipt has never been necessary for warranty service as the device serial number will verify if it is within warranty or not.
Hi
You would need to check with Apple or your local Apple Authorised Service Provider / AASP:
Contact Apple:
Find an AASP:
I'm afraid that no-one here can tell you what Apple will decide - this is a user-based support community.
Apple's Limited Warranty terms for India include, for example:
"Before receiving warranty service, Apple or its agents may require that you furnish proof of purchase details".
"This Warranty does not apply: .. if Apple receives information from relevant public authorities that the product has been stolen or if you are unable to deactivate passcode-enabled or other security measures designed to prevent unauthorized access to the Apple Product, and you cannot prove in any way that you are the authorized user of the product (eg. by presenting proof of purchase)."

As previously advised, you would need to check with Apple or your local Apple Authorised Service Provider to establish whether or not, in your particular case, they require you to provide proof of purchase:

I think it's not needed to claim the warranty. https://checkcoverage.apple.com/in/en/ and type your serial number and search it.
