I am facing issue of the clear install of mac os sierra using USB , It is throwing me an error while making the device bootable


I Have used 32GB Pendrive


the final error was

I just ran into the same issue and was able to fix it. The problem was that the partition "Scheme" for my flash drive was "Master Boot Record" which is an ancient partition scheme used by Windows. Macs cannot boot from drives with such a partition scheme. Erase your flash drive and pick any of the other two schemes (I did GUID which does not match screenshot below).


After that, createinstallmedia succeeded. I have yet to use the USB drive but I assume it will work fine.

One would hope createinstallmedia would perform the check before wasting several minutes and give you a helpful error message.
