Q: Removing music

I have a laptop and a desktop. Is it possible to remove music from only the laptop? I dont have apple music.

    You can remove it from wherever you like.

     

    Not sure I understand the question.

    Hi  lily626,

    Thanks for your question.  You are wondering how to remove music from your laptop and not have it affect your iTunes Library on your desktop.  The only way that both libraries would be affected is if you had iCloud Music Library enabled (which would happen automatically if you joined Apple Music.)  

    So, you can double-check on your laptop in iTunes > Preferences to make sure iCloud Music Library is off.  Then, whatever you do on your laptop will not affect the iTunes Library on your desktop.   

    Since it sounds like your iTunes library on your desktop is your "master" library, make sure you have a backup of it.
