Q: iTunes 12.5.1 - Won't copy full song to iPhone (converting to lower bitrate)
Hi All - so here is the issue. I'm trying to move a large amount of music to my iPhone (6s Plus running 10.0.2). I have the property set to "Convert higher bit rate songs to 192 kbps AAC".
When I sync a song to the device (I am manually managing the music and videos) iTunes is only converting the first 3 minutes and 39/40 seconds. So for clarity, a 5 minute song will be copied to my device with a length of 3:39, and will abruptly cut off.
I have tried - using the "Sync" instead of "Manually manage", different "new" bit rates (128, and 256), using different devices (2 iPads and 2 other iPhones), and different cables. If I uncheck the "Convert higher..." box, the songs copy to the device correctly (the correct length).
As this problem is easily reproducible on multiple iOS devices, the issue must be with the conversion system that iTunes is using. Has anyone else encountered this issue? I'd really rather not convert 160+GB of music manually, delete my iTunes library, and add all the newly converted music to iTunes just to put music on my phone.
As a side note, the "Convert higher..." option has worked perfectly for me in the past. This issue just happened today.
I appreciate any help you can provide!
