You can do almost everything over your WiFi with iCloud
When you charge your iPhone /iPad is should automatically be backed up to iCloud .
Go to settings on iPad -iCloud backup now .
We have 3 iPhones & 4 iPads haven't used our PC for over 2 years everything
Done over WiFi backups & software updates .
Go to settings- about - general - software update do update over your WiFi .
Cheers
Brian

Oct 15, 2016 11:46 AM in response to Briansyddallby LinV99,Hi Brian,
Thanks for trying to help. I have also done that, however I still get the iTunes response that it can't sync my iPad over wifi either. i tunes will tell me either i don't have an account or my iPad or mac is not synced with iTunes. I had it automatically syncing with my iPad when plugged in overnight and it would not sync either. The crazy thing is i can sync my phone with iTunes over wifi or my mac without issue. This is an issue with my iPad and my mac and iTunes. I can backup my iPad on iTunes, I just can't sync. all is good between my mac, iPhone and iTunes. it is strictly an iPad issue. This is also not my first iPad. I had one of the original iPads, this is my second iPad so i am familiar with the upgrades and things it can do. i just can't figure out why this is happening and neither can my husband, who mind you in very computer literate.

I believe the problem is connected somehow with iCloud. I just can't find how to resolve the issue.
