Sierra download link not active

Soon after I started to download Sierra, I had to stop so I clicked on the Pause button. I did not turn off my computer. When I was ready to resume, the Sierra download page disappeared right as I turned on my Wi-Fi. I then went back to the App store and had to log back in. Now, when I click on the Sierra download link, nothing happens. The link is not active. There is nothing in my Downloads folder nor is there anything active on my dock. I tried restarting my computer and going back to the App Store, but the Sierra download link remains inactive.

That's what I did. This is the error message I received:

I just followed the second directions and deleted the com.apple.appstore directory. When I logged back in to the App Store, the link still did not work. When I went back to the Updates Available page, It is not a part of the list of applications that I can download. I did notice, however, a very very tiny "Resume" button buried in the macOS Sierra graphic at the top of the page. I just clicked on it and it appears to be downloading. Let's hope this works! Thanks so much!
