Sierra download link not active

I haven't used the Terminal before. Do I paste the "sudo software update --clear-catalog" where the gray box is after Colleen$? Also, after you paste it in, do you click Return?

Unfortunately, I don't see anything for today or anything labeled Sierra or MacOS in my Applications folder.

I just followed the second directions and deleted the com.apple.appstore directory. When I logged back in to the App Store, the link still did not work. When I went back to the Updates Available page, It is not a part of the list of applications that I can download. I did notice, however, a very very tiny "Resume" button buried in the macOS Sierra graphic at the top of the page. I just clicked on it and it appears to be downloading. Let's hope this works!
