I am using iMovie 10 for the first time. My project is up on the timeline. I am not finished. It is my understanding that I don't "save" it because it is automatically saved (?). What happens when I shut down iMovie? Where will the project be at? Do I give it a name somehow? Thanks for any help. I would think it would probably just be there, but I want to be sure before I close it down.

Unlike a word document, you do not have to do ⌘S to save an iMovie project. It is saved automatically. Your iMovie Projects are stored under the "Projects" section. To view your current projects, click the "< Projects" in the top left corner. It should be named My Movie or My Project by default. Change this by clicking on it and pressing enter.
Yes. Your project is automatically saved. If you quit iMovie, when you relaunch iMovie your project will be there exactly as you left it. You don't need to name your project to have it automatically saved, but when you return to the projects browser screen a dialogue box will appear letting you name your project.
