Q: El Capitan to Sierra after hard drive cleaned
I had to clear my hard drive because OSX (El Capitan) would not load ; it just kept shutting down upon startup. Now it wants to download Sierra but I get an error : UNTRUSTED_CERT_TITLE. I do not know how to get past this. Please help. I have a mid-2010 Macbook Pro 15".

You need to restore OS X before you can download and install macOS Sierra.
Shut down your Mac.
Wait at least ten seconds then startup while holding down the Command + R keys. From there you can access the built in utilities to verify and repair the disk if necessary then restore OS X > OS X Recovery
Then upgrade to Sierra.
Apple advises to backup your personal data prior to upgrading as noted in this support article > macOS - How to Upgrade - Apple
