Q: Problem with Preview App on OSX Sierra

I have a problem with Preview App in OSX Sierrra. I work with large PDF files that are several hundred pages long.

In prior versions of preview, I could delete unwanted pages and this would go in order. For example in a 20 page document If i wanted to delete pages 11, 12, 13  and then 18, 19, 20 using the thumbnails on the side. The pages would flow in order. Now if I delete a page the program by default goes to page 1. Unless I go back and forth and click on each page individually. Does anyone have a solution. I called Apple support and did not get help. Thank you.

I personally prefer PDF Toolkit (App Store) for such purposes (more features are inside) although when I remove some pages the resulting PDF is larger than the initial one (???).

Preview is completely damaged on macOS Sierra. Highlights and underline show in different places on older PDF files, highlights double themselves!!!, notes can not be moved etc... Total failure!!!

In Preview, on macOS Sierra, I started with a 155 page PDF document, and the first page. I then selected thumbnails 11, 12, 13, 18, 19, and 20 by using the command key after the first thumbnail selection. When I deleted the selected thumbnails, they automatically resequenced, but remained displaying the new thumbnails 18, 19 , and 20, while the page view jumped back to page 1.

On El Capitan, with the same original 155 page PDF document, I repeated the same thumbnail selection and deletion. Again, the thumbnails automatically resequenced, thumbnails 11, 12, and 13 remained in view, and the page view showed page 14.

I do not believe it is realistic to expect that Apple applications will remain unchanged between major OS X/macOS releases. I still miss the Preview hyperlink markup that was removed years ago, but I have moved on.

I have the exact same problem as above except with unwanted photos, duplicate photos etc...  Preview will not let me delete unwanted or duplicate photos from the side bar as I use to be able to do with the previous OS prior to Sierra.  By default I'm sent to the last photo in the side bar.  Preview now tells me I don't have permission to move or delete photo. It use to be so easy to use.  This is a pain to say the least.
