thanks for your quick reply. The issue is that the before working Apple ID went orange and requests to enter the password again. When you try to do so, it is not working and guides you to your icloud preferences to activate back to your mac. I also removed my id from there and tried to add again without success. Another apple id without two factor authentication entered there works fine.
