Q: Bootcamp Black screen when booting

so on my 15 inch macbook pro late 2008 running 10.11.6 i got a usb dvd drive (my old one died along time ago) so i could install windows 7 so i did that but i noticed when booting from the dvd it stayed on a white screen for like 2 minutes it did the same after the install so i decided to reset the pram but after that it just made it so when i boot into anything windows related dvds and the install i just put on it just turns off in seconds i tried refit but basically the same thing happened any suggestions on what to do to fix the problem?

MacBook Pro, OS X El Capitan (10.11.6)

Do you have a working Windows installation? Does all your Apple-specific hardware work correctly?

Windows was working on my macbook if thats what you mean but it was on the white screen for 1-2 minutes i do have a windows pc and when windows was working all my hardware seemed to be working fine.

i keep trying to reinstall but the same windows disk i used before but when i select it in the boot manger (holding down alt) my computer just turns off

Does OS X boot and stay up normally? Installing Windows from an external USB Optical drive on a 2008 Mac results in an incomplete (EFI-based) installation, which can cause unpredictable behavior. If you can, I suggest removing rEFIt (which is old). There is a fork of rEFIT, called rEFInd, that you can use, if you must.

Try the following two steps

Reset the System Management Controller (SMC) on your Mac - Apple Support
How to Reset NVRAM on your Mac - Apple Support

and test.

OS X does boot normally with no issues. this disc i have has an efi boot when i hold alt on start up. i tried rEFInd and still i just get a shutdown when i try to boot into any install disc i even tried windows 10 and vista discs and i did reset the nvram and sac and still the same

Are you trying to install W7 via EFI Boot on a 2008 Mac? The 2008 Macs run EFI 1.1.

i have been trying to just boot from the install disc in anyway when i try legacy it turns off and efi just loads the files and nothing happens so i stopped trying efi windows im going to try a clean install of osx to see if it helps

could the bios broke somehow? would re writing a frimware maybe fix it?

Can you check if your Mac's SMC and firmware match the versions for your specific model listed in About EFI and SMC firmware updates for Intel-based Mac computers - Apple Support ?
