Q: Kernel Panic with Photos App
Hi,
I am the owner of a mid 2010 MacBook Pro (reconditioned with 8 GB 1067 MHz DDR3, 2.66 GHz Intel Core i7 & 500G HD). My issue is that the computer frequently suffers a Kernel Panic and reboots. However, from my observations this most frequently (perhaps 90%) of the time occurs when the Photos App is open.
Ive done lots of reading online about the Kernel panic issue so totally appreciate how complex and difficult it may be to diagnose. Well, perhaps for a lay person like me However can't find anything about photos causing the problem and what to do about it (except overheating CPU, which isn't my issue)
I have tried two basic fix's (about the limit of my skill set) including:
- Cleaning up caches
- Resetting PRAM and NVRAM on start-up
Im wondering if it is worthwhile trying a reinstall of OS-X? Any other suggestions?
I also have a copy of crash report which I can't get my head around (sorry.. even after reading tutorial) if it helps to attach that?
Thanks heaps in advance...
MacBook Pro, iOS 10.0.2
