Oct 16, 2016 4:44 AM in response to muhd yasinby Kenichi Watanabe,★HelpfulAre you saying iTunes does not run when you try to run it? If so, what happens instead? Does it crash? Does it hang? Do you get some error message?

I only get the bouncing itunes icon and it just stops after a while. And when I try to open from the upper border I will get the beachball logo. And if I try to play a CD by using the iTunes option, it gives me the error message " unable to open iTunes" . And that is all I see. I checked my OS but it states that it's up to date. I can open other apps such as iPhoto but not iTunes. Tried rebooting and switching on and off but still nothing. Attempts to open any iTunes folder from the Harddisc folders also failed. Not sure what is happening here.

Oct 16, 2016 8:22 AM in response to muhd yasinby Kenichi Watanabe,★HelpfulIf you have not already, restart your Mac. Then try running iTunes again.
If that does not help, I think this is the latest version of iTunes, if your Mac OS X is 10.6.8. You can confirm by doing a right-click Get Info on the iTunes application (in your Applications folder).
Reinstall iTunes from this download.
