why does it take so long to export videos from Photos?

why does it take so long to export videos from Photos? A 2 minute video can take 10-15 minutes to export.

Logic Express 9-OTHER, Mac OS X (10.6.8)

It sounds like you are converting it too. Try File > Export > Unmodified Original.
