Why can't the radio be pushed out the bluetooth and use a wired headset just at the antenna?

Hi Ipod Nano 7th gen group,

Apple, Why can't the radio output from the nano but sent to a bluetooth device?

I know that it needs the wired headset for the antenna...but you can send music out to bluetooth while the headset is plugged in...why can't the radio do the same?

With you moving your phones etc...to a bluetooth only listening...why can't there be a software update to allow for this on the nano?

Please advise

Sincerely,

Ray Adams

It would take more than a software update. iPod nano is a simple media player, that is designed in hardware to optimally perform its built-in functions, nothing more and nothing less. What you buy is want you get. It's not an iOS computing device like iPod touch and iPhone, that is "over-designed" so that it can be upgraded in software (with features and apps) to do new things during its product lifetime. Apple would have to release a new design for iPod nano (an "8th gen" model) to implement your suggestion.

Also, Apple may be pushing wireless headphones for iOS devices, but FM radio is something unique to iPod nano. No other current Apple device plays FM radio, and needs an FM radio antenna
