Q: MacBook Pro 13" mid 2012 thermal problems

Dear Community,

a few weeks ago, my MBP was shut down by overheating.

Adobe Photoshop was running, when i closed the Display an put in my bag.

Since then it's runnig at more than 70°C, when i surf the Web and a lot more when working with Adobe CC.

Now i'd like to replace all thermal pads and paste.

wich pads and paste you're recommend?

Yours

Michael..

I have used 'Arctic Silver' with success.

Before you do that, set Activity Monitor to ALL PROCESSES and CPU to display values from high to low.

When the MBP gets hot, post images of your temperature/fanspeed application and Activity monitor for review.

Have you opened up your MBP to see if there is dirt and debris inside?

    Run an Apple hardware test:

Note that an error free AHT is not conclusive.

    Ciao.
