Q: Slow animations on iPhone 7

Hi!

I upgraded to the 7 from an iPhone 5S, but oddly the animations on the 5S are way faster, and smoother, than on the iPhone 7, especially the app closing animation. (Tried to restore, and set up as new device, but didn't help).

It's really frustrating, what should I do?

    Congratulations on your new iPhone! I see that after updating to the new iPhone 7 though, the screen animations aren't as fast and smooth on this new device like it was on your iPhone 5s. Well that's certainly something that I wouldn't want to have happen, especially with a new device. I have something for you to try. 

    I suggest making sure Reduce Motion is not turned on. Reduce Motion can disable animation and effects in certain apps. To check the Reduce Motion setting, go to Settings > General > Accessibility and tap the slider for Reduce Motion.

    I have the same issue here, iPhone 7 256 GB, animations are way slower than my 6S, visible throughout the OS but most striking difference in app opening and closing animation

     

    Hope theres a fix otherwise im returning my phone !
