I'm unable to use Google Maps on my iMac (2006 Intel iMac with 2.16 GHz Intel Core Duo and OS X 10.7.5).

It will not respond if I type an address in the search box and I cannot navigate because no zoom controls are displayed on the map. Street View seems to be ok. I have just installed the latest version of Google Earth and now I cannot open it at all because it crashes as soon as I try.

iMac, Mac OS X (10.6.8), GarageBand 3.0.5

Have you tried if it works on other browsers ? maybe Google rely on tech not present in older browser

Thanks, Rudegar. Have tried navigating to Google Maps from both Bing and Yahoo but same problem, I'm afraid.

Try using Firefox as your browser. It's more up to date than the Safari that is for 10.7.5.

Thanks, Old Toad. It appears Mozilla are no longer supporting 10.7.5 versions of Firefox and I haven't been able to find such an old download of it. For the time being I've restored my 2008 version of Google Earth, which works fine, but the original Google Maps problem is still there, of course!

Option 2: Download Firefox Extended Support Release (ESR) - until January 2017
