Q: Why no Apple Mail templates?

I am baffled by something which Apple Mail does not seem to easily do and yet it is so simple.  I want to make a template of an email with a list of recipients, some text and a picture.  That way, I can just call up that template, add a message and send it.  I know I can create a signature and a group to email to, but it is a multi step process when I would just like to click on a template.  Why do templates not exist in Apple Mail?  Or do they?

    Hi,

There is not a real template function for business use integrated in Apple Mail.

But there are a few solutions:

    • You can use stationary in Mail, but i copes with huge restrictions: Mail for Mac: Personalize messages with stationery
    • You can download a (free) third party template creator in the App Store that works fine with Apple Mail. I personally use Mail Designer and it works perfect!
    • You can put already the recipients in a list (using Contacts). When adding the list in the address field mail will send your mail to all the recipients in that list.

    Good luck!

Mail Stationery. Mail Compose Window. Beautify Your Emails with Apple's Mail Stationery.

Create Custom HTML Email Stationery on macOS Sierra. (It will be the same on El Capitan.)

Avoid clicking any advertising and download links on these web sites.

Interesting that the link to create custom HTML email stationary involves going into hidden folders and using an HTML editor, etc...  So complicated to do such a simple thing.  What is this,  a Windows PC??

Using Apple's Mail stationary does not work because it will not save a picture.  I have tried and when I insert a picture then Save as Stationary, when I call it up, it's not there.  Don't know why, but it isn't.

I will check out the third party template creator in the App Store.  Thanks for that tip.

Again, baffled as to why Apple would not provide an easy integrated solution to achieve a simple email template list to call up quickly.

Hey, Mail Designer is $40.  Where do you see a free one?

    Hi,

    Just checked the app store:

    • If you choose for Mail Designer you must choose the cheapest version for €29,99. Only the cheapest version has a direct import button for your template.
    • If see by example Mail Stationery a free app.
    • I aslo see by example Stationary For Mail, an app that is sold for €9,99.

So there has to be a solution in every price range.
