Oct 17, 2016 5:02 PM in response to Bigratzby Bigratz,Well, I was hoping for a little more feedback on the question than I received. I don't want to go ahead and do it and have my wife's iMac crash on me because of an incompatibility problem. Anybody else out there have a comment/suggestion??

Oct 20, 2016 7:30 AM in response to Bigratzby mattwithcats,★HelpfulFirst, look here....
http://www.datamemorysystems.com/apple-imac-intel-memory-upgrades/
Drill down and compare the memory specs of both iMacs.
if they don't match, don't give up yet!
Most iMacs can use memory from the next generation with no problem.
Chart of iMac models...

However, the problem is not with the size of ram, but with MIXING different speeds...!
Pull the two old 1067 memory out, install the four 1333 chips in, try to boot.
Three bongs, no go.

This is not a sale, no money involved, just postage.
Send me your address, to forum_username at Verizon.net...
I will send you four 2 gig chips from an early 2009,
they should work in your late 2009...
You then send me the four 1333 speed 2 gig chips,
I can use them in my mid 2011...
