Q: My iPod will download all my music but only about half of the music is actually playable if I get out of range of my computer system.

My iPod 6 64 gig  after the recent 10.0.2 software upgrade downloads all my songs from iTunes to my iPod but less than a 3rd are available for play without being inside my wireless network. My song consist of iTunes purchases and music from my cd collection. The problem affects both types of music. This problem started right after the most recent software upgrade has anyone else been affected by this issue? I have tried to download the music where shows up as downloaded but it will not do so. I still have plenty of space on the hard drive as I run my iPod stripped down as there are only  few features I used besides the music feature.   Any assistance anyone can offer is appreciated.

    Try the following steps:

    1. Reset your iPod touch. Nothing will be lost.

    2. Do you have an Apple music subscription? If so, you get unlimited access to millions of songs. You can also listen to music offline.

    3. Make sure that iCloud Music Library is turned on.

    4. Go to settings>music>iCloud music library.

    5. Replace your iPod's library with the cloud library.

    6. Try downloading all the songs again.

    7. Make sure that you are connected to a Wifi network.

    Good luck!

Are you subscribed to Apple Music? It sounds like you are if you are dependent on Wifi.

If so, then you must create offline playlists to listen to your music when you are not connected to Wifi:

Use Apple Music in the Music app - Apple Support

This support article should help you to find out how to make the most out of your Apple Music Subscription.

    Best of luck,
