Translation problem ?

I'm looking for a, preferably free/reasonably priced, language translator which, when I am within e.g. eBay or indeed any other non-English web site, I can quickly and easily get a translation into English from at least French/German/Italian/Spanish.

At present I have to copy the other language script and then go off-page to another on-line translator then paste the foreign script into the translation site to get the result.

This for my Mac mini (Sierra), iPhone, and iPad-mini. Ideally I should be able to just click on some on-screen button to get the eBay page instantly translated - so how do I achieve this. Recommendations please ?

Mac mini, macOS Sierra (10.12), iPad Mini-2, iPhone 5SE, Watch

"Web Translator: Google Translate Bar on Safari"

Installed it as far as I'm aware - but where is the "Google Translate Bar" in Safari, or where is it supposed to be ?

This web page for the product seems to show where you find the translate icon.

If you have a problem you should contact the people who made it.

You can't use that app on a Mini. It says this on the purchase page about what you need for it:

User uploaded file

Did you perhaps download a different one?

If you downloaded it by mistake and don't have an iOS device, then you may be able to get a refund, try using the Report a Problem link on your receipt.

Right, they assume users know that iOS apps cannot be used on a desktop/laptop, which runs MacOS. They still let you download them because many people use the iTunes app on their desktop to transfer apps and other stuff to their iOS devices. So it is sitting in iTunes, but useless if you have no iOS devices.

I recommend you try to get a refund.

I now understand that perfectly - but everybody has to learn these things, they are not all that obvious. I am continually & initially frustrated by instructions such as "click on the x-button, x-tab" or similar, without ever showing a picture of the aforesaid button or tab or even saying where/which_screen it is to be found.

I will try the app. purchased on my iPad mini, so no need for a refund; thanks for the info.

Alas above is just a bit too complex for me - it needs a desk-top app., with a simple icon at top to just click-on to get an instant translation. No logging into Google + copy/pasting; something that "just works" - is that too much to ask ?

Apple needs to develop its own app. - in our Planet's Tower of Babel surely a quick & easy translator of a site's content

is a good idea ?
