Q: Annoying text bar

A picture is worth a thousand words. In general, it might be something starting when you log in. Go  to System Preferences/Users & Groups/Login Items tab. Delete every login item by highlighting each item and pressing the "-" button. Restart the Mac. Log in. Does the text bar go away? If so, add the login items back in one at a time (with a restart) until you find the culprit.
