Can I use the Philips Hue Tap switch with the Home app?

I recently bought a bunch of Philips Hue lights and have set them up using the new Home app in iOS 10. I also recently purchased a Hue Tap Switch but this does not seem to be compatible with the Home app. I've added the switch via the Hue app on my phone and can use it to select scenes defined in the Hue app but not the Home app.

Can the Hue Tap switch be used with the Home app? If not is there another alternative product that can? It's the only HomeKit-compatible switch sold by Apple.
