I recently did the MacOS Sierra update and now my FCPX is having some issues. The biggest is that it won't allow me to import new clips. Anyway have ideas for how I can fix this?

HHow did you update? What exactly are you doing and what happens when you do it? What's the media?
I did the update to Sierra about a week ago. I had no issues importing media through my SxS card reader before that. Now when I try to import it just freezes the program. I've deleted preferences and I restarted everything and it still hasn't solved the problem. Here's a screenshot of what it looks like when I try to import:
Does it ever finish loading the media? Or is it stuck trying to load the card?
It never finished loading the media. It just froze up the program.
Try trashing prefs. Make a new admin user and try mounting the card in there. Don't open FCP. Does the card mount and can you access the content?
I trashed the preferences. I also tried the card on someone else's SxS reader and I was able to access and import the media successfully. They were also running FCPX, but they did not do the Sierra update yet (which I did.)
Did you try a new user? Sounds like your card reader needs a new driver for Sierra.
I think that's exactly the problem. Unfortunately, I haven't been able to find a place that offers a download for a Sierra compatible driver yet. Any ideas?
You probably would need to check with the manufacturer.
Same issue for me as well. I am not finding any updated drivers online, so stuck now. This is very frustrating. I should have known better than to think that Apple would release a new OS that actually works with Apple software....
WWhat Apple software? The only drivers Apple makes are for the built in card readers. It has nothing to do with SxS card readers, which is the manufacturer's responibity. The OS software has been available to developers since June.
