Q: Assertion Failures causing system lockups
Hi all,
I've been experiencing system freezes daily at around 11am and 4pm. There is always a spike in processor activity at these times (all cores at 100%) and about 90% of the time it results in a completely locked up system.
I've narrowed it down to two things that are consistent. InDesign is always open when it happens and there is also a large number of *** Assertion failure in - entries in the Console.
The other thing that 'sometimes' works is performing a 'killall' on 'Tablet driver' in Terminal (I'm using a Wacom Intuos tablet).
Can anyone draw any conclusions from this? I'm running a fresh install of OS X 10.11.6 and my colleague has the same pen, the same iMac and the same version of InDesign and does not experience these lockups.
Please help if you can!
