Q: App Store Twitter Update Stuck

My Twitter app is supposed to be updating, but it is stuck on pause  waiting to install  for several days.  I tried deleting the existing app, but the same thing happens.

 

Can't figure out how to get around this issue... any ideas?

Mac Pro, OS X El Capitan (10.11.3), 2013 6 Core

    reboot into safe mode

     

    if the app store is open quit the app store application

     

    open terminal and type

    open $TMPDIR../C/

    then delete the folder

    com.apple.appstore

    this will DELETE all unfinished downloads from the app store. All completed downloads will not be affected.

     

    open the app store and download the app for OS X.
