Q: Use of a USA I-Mac in Europe

I have the opportunity to buy an I-Mac in an American store. Can I use this item in Belgium (Europe)? Apparently for televisions it is ot the case. Can I use a Belgian-French AZERTY keyboard for this I-Mac or do I also have to buy the QWERTY one?

if you buy from an American store your warranty will not be valid in anywhere but the United States.

Jimmy is incorrect.   Warranty on Apple computers, and pretty much any non cellular device is and has always been international.  You should have no issues getting service for it in any European Apple Store.

There should be no issue with using the Mac in Europe at all, or using an Azerty keyboard with it as long as the input settings are properly configured for AZERTY keyboards in System Preferences.

is it just Phones or iOS devices with cellular or all iOS devices that wont be honored outside the country of purchase or something else?

Sorry if I provided an incorrect statement, I stand corrected if so.

The warranty limitation only applies to Cellular Devices.  iPhones and Cellular capable iPads. Since those are country specific for their models and being locked to or sold for a specific carrier in that country.

If you took an iPhone locked to a carrier in country A, to an Apple store in country B, they would very likely not have the same model to give you that is locked to, or set to be used with the specific carrier in country A. More so if its a CDMA carrier.

So to avoid any issues with such things, Apple generally denies service on them.
