Q: shared icloud notes between two accounts

So I've been sharing notes, calendars, reminders with my wife through icloud for awhile now by having her account in my icloud mail as well as my own. Today I just noticed that her notes folder disappeared. I've done many things you could think off, signing out and signing in, restart, notes on and off and nothing works back to what it was. I know that you can share notes with people in ios 10 but we were sharing everything for ease and I'm hoping people are still using notes like that and its just my iphone that's glitching. anyone have any ideas on a fix?

thanks

Question -- you weren't sharing Notes in the traditional sense -- Share your notes - Apple Support, right?

What you were doing -- added her iCloud account (Settings > Notes = Add Account; Calendar = Add Account; Contact; Reminders = Add Account), correct?  If this scenario is correct, and Notes wasn't showing up, then perhaps the issue may be on her side?  Those actions you took, as described above, were those taken on her side of the account?

right I was doing the latter, since prior to ios 10, I believe, that was the only way you could... I was going to check her's tonight when I got home but I put both of our accounts on both of our phones but the issue should be on my phone since I'm inputting her account id on my phone and her notes have disappeared.

I also have noticed that you can't add an account for all the separate icloud functions above, when you add an account, it becomes available for all those functions together (notes, calendar, reminders). Where there is a radial for mail, contacts, calendars, reminders. there isn't one for notes.

Have you tried signing out of her account, and signing back in when re-adding it to see if that might resolve it?

On a side note, why not use a third-party option that's a little more robust than iCloud that will allow you to share these functions quite easily?

tried it before.  we used this for years so I prefer to keep things how it is if possible but I think something changed with a recent update.  If anyone has any ideas please let me know.
