Q: Security issues

I am trying to download Epson printer update but it does not allow me because I get this message “EPSON Printer.mpkg” can’t be opened because it is from an unidentified developer. I went onto prefrences and clicked "update anyway" but still not allowing me - any way of over-riding this?
