Sound not working (Windows 10 BootCamp)

User uploaded file

(my current sound panel)

Hello,

I have recently installed Windows 10 on my iMac (27-inch, Late 2013.) I have successfully gotten the internet to work, but not the sound. I have upgraded and installed the newest Bootcamp software, but still, nothing. I have watched repeated videos, yet, nothing has happened sound wise. I've tried putting in headphones and that doesn't help. Any answers/tips?

From Identify the model of your iMac - Apple Support, your iMac is a 2012 machine. These are preUEFI machines and do not support EFI Boot properly. The Audio devices are exposed using CSM-BIOS layer, which requires a legacy BIOS installation. Can you post the output of the following OSX Terminal command?

sudo fdisk /dev/disk0

If you have more than one entry, then you have a BIOS installation. You can also run msinfo32 on the Windows side and check BIOS Mode. If it is UEFI, then your Audio will not work. Unfortunately, you will need to re-install Windows, if it is not the correct installation type.

Sorry for not replying to you earlier, and by the way thanks with all your help so far. I appreciate it.

The following is from the terminal;

Carlini is the name of my Mac. I will get back to you on the Windows side soon.

I don't know how to really say this, but I don't think I will get sound on my Windows partition. Please understand that if I happen to mess something up software wise, then I won't hear the end of it from my family. Our family all shares the computer, but I happen to use it the most. I am fairly new to dual booting and sorts, so I don't have much confidence in my skills in this topic. Thank you for helping me. I appreciate it.

We are not modifying the OS X side. If you are not comfortable, you may want to just try these two and avoid a full re-installation. These two procedures do not change software, but rebuild the underlying hardware resources. You may be able to see missing devices. Also, you have some unknown devices on Windows side, which requires Bootcamp drivers to be re-installed.
