Q: intermittent iMac application crash

iMac mid 2010

2.93  core i7

Ill be running propellerhead Reason and then the application will crash leaving no error message, and unable to relaunch then any other application running will become unresponsive, and glitchy. Restarting the machine will restore function until the crash happens again.

 

Is this a Drive issue or something along the lines  of a logic board issue

iMac, OS X El Capitan (10.11.5)
