bootcamp hack not working on osx lion 10.7.5

hello there. I am on osx lion 10.7.5, 17 in imac. I am also a blind voiceover user, if that helps. I have ben attempting to use the bootcamp hack to make bootcamp let me install windows from a uSB. I have follow all directions to the letter, even had to add the UEFIModels key, and zilch. Nothing works. Is there anything I can do? My mac does have an optical drive, however, i c annot write dvd's, just read them. What can i do about this issue? thank you so much in advance for your answer.

For your specific model, the only reliable method to install Windows via Bootcamp is using the Optical drive. Will a virtualization engine like VMware Fusion, VirtualBox or Parallels suffice for your Windows needs? VM engines are not very good at graphics-intensive workloads.

t virtualizaation may work for me, just need to figure out which one is more accessible with voiceover. How can I get a copy that works with my os? the newest trial won't work with lion. Thank you so much for your quick response.

VirtualBox is free - https://www.virtualbox.org .

VMware Fusion and Parallels have current versions that may not support Lion.
