Q: iMac won't mount image file on Time Capsule
Hi,
I have my iTunes library stored in a .dmg on the Time Capsule. I recently upgraded to Sierra. The .dmg now refuses to mount. I added the image to Login items with no success. I keep getting the same message after I restart the computer: "Enter the password for "MyTimeCapsuleName Time Capsule". The password field is pre-filled and the check box to save it in keychain is selected. Note this prompt appears automatically after I start my iMac. The image mounts after I select OK.
I looked in Keychain and saw the following for "MyTimeCapsuleName Time Capsule":
MyTimeCapsuleName-Time-Capsule.local -- Time Machine Password -- System
MyTimeCapsuleName-Time-Capsule.afp://MyTimeCapsuleName's Time Capsule._afpovertcp._tcp.local/Data -- Time Machine Password -- System
MyTimeCapsuleName-Time-Capsule -- Airport Disk Password -- login
Then, the above line "MyTimeCapsuleName-Time-Capsule -- Airport Disk Password -- login" is repeated three times with the same modification date.
I'm think something in the keychain needs to be deleted, but am afraid of messing things up.
After installing Sierra, keychain kept asking for my password. I followed these instructions to resolve the issue: Change or reset the password of an OS X user account - Apple Support.
Not sure where to go from here. Help is appreciated.
Thanks,
Mark
