Q: Locked Out

Hi,

Try to boot in Recovery mode.

In utilities, open the terminal and type resetpassword

From there, try to reset the password for root. The boot and login as root and do your stuff…

It it doesn't work, book in Single User mode ( How to start up your Mac in single-user or verbose mode - Apple Support )

Then type in :

/sbin/mount -uw /

Then :

rm /var/db/.AppleSetupDone

Finally :

reboot

It will restart your Mac like it's brand new and you will be asked to create a new admin account :-)
