Is there a limit to how many people you can block?

Hi,

I've blocked several telemarketers over the years and it's been working fine. It has quit working for new entries though.

I had created a contact called "Spammers", that contact is blocked. Every time I get a call from a telemarketer, I add the number to that contact, it blocks them and all is well. Until recently anyway. The last number I added gets through regardless, wakes me up at all hours of the night, annoying. That contact currently has 14 phone numbers associated. I noticed most of them are "other," while the last two are "phone", not sure if that makes a difference.

I don't know whether their is a limit for the way you are doing it, but just in case you aren't already aware, you can block a number without first adding it to a contact. You can go to Recents, tap the i in a blue circle to the right of the call, scroll to the bottom and tap "Block this caller." So far I've not hit a limit when doing it that way.

Thanks. Yeah, I had noticed that. I may end up doing that ultimately. I liked my method because it was clean and required no redundancy. If I do it that way, I'll still add it to my spam contact, for the sake of being able to quickly identify the caller as a spammer (if blocking fails again, using this way). It's also nice to have all my spam #'s consolidated in one place, but there's no reason I couldn't just use both methods together.
