Q: Chinese symbols being sent?

Occasionally, when I am sending texts through Messages from my computer, and I think this is happening on my iPhone 7 as well, the text will come through to the recipient in what I assume is Chinese. It is not every text.....

Yesterday, I changed my apple ID password, but today it happened again.

Any idea of what I can do to correct this?

iMac with Retina 5K display, macOS Sierra (10.12)

in addition to changing your password you may wish to enable two factor authentication
Two-factor authentication for Apple ID - Apple Support
I suggest using a password for you ID that is not shared or used by you for any other on-line service and unique to this and this only.

I did set up the two factor authentication as well.....
anything else I should try?
