macOS Sierra failed and will not restart

I tried to update to OS Sierra, the MacBook restarted and I get a blue and white striped screen followed by a gray screen with a progress bar/apple logo. The Mac then proceeds to restart and repeat the process over and over. I have followed numerous steps to reset various process to no avail...

Thanks for reaching out to the Apple Support Communities! It sounds like you are having issues with the MacBook Pro restarting.I know how important it is to be sure the computer sable to complete the software update without restarting. The good news is there is an article you can check out with steps to try to resolve the issue on your own. Check out OS X: When your computer spontaneously restarts or displays "Your computer restarted because of a problem." . Specifically, check out the "Additional Information" section as it has steps other than the reset you have tried so far.
