can't see older email on iPhone or iPad in ios10 but its still in cloud

With iOS 10, I'm not seeing older emails which have ALWAYS shown up on my iPhone and iPad before. These messages ARE still in the cloud however and will reappear if I search by a keyword in a message, but I often don't know a particular word to look for. Before, I could simply search by scrolling down (back in time) until I found what I wanted... These messages are still on my MBP but I don't lug that around with me all the time! All 3 devices are set to keep messages in trash until I delete but this is ocurring in all boxes: in, sent, etc...

I WANT ALL MY MAIL ON MY MOBILE DEVICES BECAUSE I OFTEN NEED TO ACCESS IT--THAT'S WHY I BUY A DEVICE WITH A LOT OF STORAGE!!

iPhone 7, iOS 10.0.3

Hi!

Thanks for upgrading to iOS 10! If you are unable to see older messages in your Mail app for any email account that you are looking in, try checking the Mail preferences in your Settings app.

Tap Settings > Mail, Contacts & Calendars > Organize by Thread.
Work with multiple messages

Turning this feature off should have
your emails showing as it did previously. Thanks for posting in the Apple Communities. Take care!
