Oct 18, 2016 7:19 PM in response to FrenchAlain55by Mobile Blues,The new Time Machine disk will not contain your previous backups from the old disk. When you set up Time Machine it will make a complete backup of your iMac to your new disk. From that point forward it will add new backups based on files that have changed since your last backup. If your backup disk runs out of room it will delete the oldest backup to gain disk space.
