Weird lines above finder icon

I'm confused as to what this means. The finder icon has changed a few different times in the past 6 months. First half the face was covered with just a lighter opacity square. Then a line below and then just the blue line and now the green is added. Any insight?

Hi jessicablex322,

Thank you for using Apple Support Communities. Based on what you stated, it seems like there is a line on the Finder icon in the dock that shouldn't be there. One thing we can try is to pull the dock plist to the desktop and reboot the computer to see if the line is still there after we reboot. The computer will repopulate the plist if it is not in the folder.

Hold option on the keyboard > click Go on the menu bar > click Library > scroll to Preferences > drag com.apple.dock.plist to the desktop.
Then we can reboot the computer and once it loads back to the desktop we can see if it is still there.

If it is still there we can boot into safe mode and see if the problem is there too.

Try safe mode if your Mac doesn't finish starting up

Cheers.
