Q: iOS 10 and WiFi Direct

Hello!

 

I have some users having issues printing since updating to iOS 10.0.2. We use Brother Pocket Jet 673 mobile thermal printers and have never had issues before. I do notice that with iOS 10 there is a little note below the connection that reads "security recommendation" and "no internet connection".

 

A lot of the users are able to get 1 invoice to print but cannot seem to get anymore printed off without restarting the phone and the printer each time.

 

We have done normal troubleshooting such as: completely disconnecting the power from the printer and a Network reset.

    I see that after updating to iOS 10.0.2, you are having some issues printing to your Brother Pocket Jet 763 mobile thermal printer. I would be ready to get this resolved as well, especially since it was working on a previous iOS version. I have something that I would like you to try. 

    It looks like you've done some good troubleshooting so far. What I would suggest next is check to see if there are any software updates available for this printer: Brother - Downloads & Drivers

    Often when a new iOS software version is released, device manufacturers will release software updates and downloads that improve compatibility.
