iPhone 7 is stuck on "Verifying Update"

Hello,

I tried downloading the IOS 10.0.3 today and my phone has been stuck on the lock page for about 12 hours now. It has been Verifying Update for the whole day. I have tried to reboot it by holding the power and home buttons which did not work. I held it up to two minutes at one point and nothing happened. I also tried pressing the power button 5 to ten times, in and out of the lock screen to see if I could unlock it and that didn't work either. I tried to restore my phone in iTunes but the Find My iPhone app is enabled. Is there any other way to get this off or will it eventually go away and finish installing?

Because the home button on the iPhone 7 is not a physical button, the steps for a force restart are different. Press both the volume down and sleep/wake buttons. If this doesn't work, try the steps here: If you can't update or restore your iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch - Apple Support

Thank you so much for this! After trying to do the update for iOS 11.002 my phone froze and I had no idea how to turn it off and on again until I read this comment. It was on "verifying update" for an hour and thirty minutes.
