Q: .Inputplugin selection by number keys gone in macOS Sierra?

I have a custom input method that I created following apples tutorial on making an .inputplugin and placing it in /library/input methods. However there's no longer numbers in the selection popup and you have to use arrow keys or mouse to select which is severely slowing down work... Is anyone experiencing the same?
