Hey Exeltic! While on the Apple site, scroll to the bottom. On the bottom right should be a region/country and flag. When you click on it, you can change the region that you'd like to browse. When making your purchase, it should show you the price in USD and select relevant shipping info. 🙂

I believe that you can buy products in the US store from Germany. The caveat that Apple has is that it will only deliver products bought from the US store to a US address and only if it doesn't have reason to suspect that the address is a package forwarding service. Apple will not ship, or allow a service to ship, Apple products bought in the US to another country.

YOU cannot buy in the US store. You can only buy in the store of the same country as your account.

I think you will find that if your son is studying at an Apple approved institution he can buy in his own right providing he meets the usual terms and conditions. If this is the case, transfer the funds to him.

Edit. That is an interesting point Dah*veed makes. I wonder how that relates the EU as a whole.

You are quoting the rules for the online content stores, not the retail product store. It has been a few years, but I bought a Mac in the US store from Mexico using my Mexican bank VISA card. If it really can't be done the system will tell him that his payment method isn't acceptable, no harm no foul. But I don't think he or we will know until he tries. As you can see, Apple retail doesn't require you to sign into any account, you can check out as a guest.
