My apple id is ancient. It is an email address that is no longer active. Evidently my current email address was used at some time to create another apple id. I can leave the old dead address as my apple id because it's just a code anyway. But apple won't allow me to use my current email address as a rescue or reach-at address associate with my account. Why not? It is my email address and it is where I would need to be reached in a problem.
