Q: iPhone 7plus Airdrop

Worked on iPhone 6. Now that I have an iPhone 7plus it does not recognize my mac.  also when I send files from my mac it says my phone declined them but nothing ever popped up. any help would be appreciated

    Greetings KingDave84,

     

    Thanks for posting on the Apple Support Communities. I see that you are not able to see your Mac as an option when using AirDrop, and that sending files from your Mac to your iPhone fail and do not even show up on your iPhone to accept. I know AirDrop is a fantastic feature to send files quickly between devices. I will be more than happy to help.

    Beyond that, some helpful things are to make sure Wi-Fi and bluetooth are enabled and that your iPhone is close to your Mac. Also I have seen signing out of iCloud and then back in on both devices help significantly. 

     

    Does your iPhone have any issues using AirDrop with other iOS devices? Let us know if it does and if you are able to get it working.
