Q: Contacts will not sync
I have a (mid 2015 build) Mac Book Pro, I just bought new (september 22, 2016). I Also have an iPhone 6, and have had several iPhones I have managed. Since the second generation iPhone hit the market at least... so iPhone's I am fairly familiar with... Mac Computers... not so much. Learning as fast as I can.
The problem I am encountering is that I cannot manage to get my Contacts and Notes to sync to my Mac.Since I purchased the Mac, I have also updated the OS to Sierra. (this could be the starting point of my issue...).
I have signed out of everything including my Phone with the same Apple ID account and signed out of the Mac completely, signed back in, Plugged in the iPhone and Manually sync'd the two. No Joy.
I have Tried to manually add the iPhone contacts to the Computer via iCloud, and via the Contacts App on it.
I have gone into iTunes and Sync'd a few times and also looked at the "info" section on my phone and it says that Contacts and Notes both are being Sync'd by wifi and the settings for this can be changed on the iPhone... I cannot find a way to change any settings related to this. Many hours have been spent trying to find ANY settings that would change and let me sync-by-wire, to possibly bypass the issue. No Joy.
I am most interested in the Contacts being sync'd than the Notes. but both would be nice.
I have done many web searches to see if anyone else has had the same issue, and found one showing in apple support community, but the actual cure did not get posted, however the original poster did say they spent 3 hours with tech support and they cured it. So I'm sure there is a cure. Just haven't run across it yet.
