Q: Upload photos to icloud

I Have tried to load photos from MacBook to iCloud. 9000 photos have been uploaded but MacBook says"unable to upload 4000 items". I have 30 GB storage available in iCloud. How do I upload the rest of my photos?

    What is the complete, exact error message?

     

    Make a new smart album (file menu ==> new smart album) for photo is unable to upload to iCLoud Photo library and see what the photos are - it may explain this

    NO error message. Just a statement - updated just now - unable to upload 4167 items. Smart album shows multiple photos but also gray blocks and dark black blocks. Clicking on gray or black gives a blank screen with a number of the photo on top
